The first thing that a newborn needs is to get immunized and the healthy food for them is mother’s milk. It is vital for every baby and should not be denied to the child. A baby needs to eat or drink every few hours. So if you are a working mom invest in suction pumps and store your milk to be fed to your child by someone. Continue this for up to 6 months.

Ask your baby’s doctor on how to increase the intake of vitamin D for your child. Vitamin D deficiency cases are rising in children these days. So protect your child beforehand. Vitamin D ensures that the child has strong bones and teeth. Also food with B12, Calcium, Iron and Zinc are necessary for a baby’s diet.

Whatever you do, check with a doctor first, as with a newborn or a child, you can’t take chances.

While they are liable to lean more on sweet and unhealthy foods, parents and guardians can ensure that they eat and snack healthy. They can ensure this end is met through designing a diet plan and ensuring that they adhere to it. If need be, you should consult with your doctor and find out what foods are most ideal. For instance, you should include vitamins and minerals and these are foods such as eggs, dried fruits, whole grains, vegetables, yogurt, cheese and milk. Other essentials include proteins which have a range of foods such as dairy products, poultry, nuts and peanut butter among others.

In addition to these, they should also be given foods that are rich in carbohydrates such as whole wheat pasta, fruits, brown rice and whole grain bread. Also, you should ensure that they drink up a lot of liquid though they should not be sugary. The most ideal would be water, up to eight or more glasses in a day.

Other than the immediate benefit of containing the most vital vitamins and nutrients your baby needs in the first six months of life, breast milk is also a source of with disease-fighting substances that protect the baby from illnesses.

Studies indicate that diarrhea, and ear infections happen less often in breastfed babies and lower respiratory illnesses, are less severe when they do occur in babies who have been breast fed. Exclusive breastfeeding means that there are no solid foods taken for at least six months seems to offer the most protection.

Studies also go ahead to find that the immune factors which are present in colostrum which is the first milk your body produces, guards against invading germs by forming a protective layer on your baby’s mucous membranes in his intestines, nose, and throat.

Breastfeeding may also protect your baby from developing inflammatory bowel disease later in life. Several studies have documented a link between a lack of breastfeeding in infancy and later development of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Asthma attacks perhaps are the most well known health effect of the second hand smoking exposure among kids. The second hand exposure raises the frequency of the episodes along with the seriousness o the symptoms in the asthmatic plus normal children. Exposure to this form of smoke is relevant to increased asthma severity along with worsened lung function in the kids with asthma.

Additionally, the maternal prenatal smoke greatly contributes in the develop0ment f the antisocial behavior along with attention deficit hyperactive syndromes in the offspring of the mother.

Also, second hand smoke is one of the most familiar causes of low birth mass that contributes to baby mortality and health complications in the adulthood. Exposure to second hand smoke decreases the bright weight of the babies of the non smoking mothers.
