Neck Spasm – Causes and Treatment
When the neck muscles becomes stiff and you experience pain or discomforting that what is referred to as neck spasm. This can be a very stressful thing to get and may complicate your life. When detected during childhood this disorder is referred to as torticollis and during adulthood its called trapezitis.
This disease is caused by boils, chlorpromazine which can be transmitted to an unborn baby during pregnancy, fractures of bones in the body, haloperidol which is also transmitted to the fetus by a pregnant mother, slipped disc in the spine or simply called herniated disc, neck injuries, osteomyelitis were the bone is affected by a bacteria or spasmodic torticollis.
The symptoms to both this diseases are stiff and very painful neck. This can be treated by avoiding the factors that causes it like stress or tension. Rest, exercises and relaxation can also treat neck spasm. A doctor can recommend you to the type of treatment you require.
